Employment Services
Employment Ontario is changing the way it does business so that Ontarians will be able to find the employment services they need in a one-stop shop. Effective August 1, 2010, Job Skills will be transitioning into this new Service Delivery Model. Each Employment Ontario Employment Service Centre will be available to all residents to access local community information, employment services and Employment Ontario funded programs to include Ontario Second Career and Ontario Self-Employment Benefit program. The Employment Service Centre is available to assist individuals wishing to independently job search or for those seeking additional individualized assistance with their job search, career planning, job development, retraining or starting a small business. A personalized Employment Service Plan may be developed to assist those individuals who could benefit from individualized one-on-one guidance. In addition, all individuals will have access to computer workstations with Internet access, job boards, daily newspapers, telephones, fax machines, photocopiers and a variety of onsite workshops. All services are provided at no cost to the community. For more information you can contact one of the three Job Skills' Employment Service centres at: Email at info@jobskills.org to arrange to speak with someone to assist you with your needs.
