What
is Simpressions?
Simpressions
is
a Practice Firm (PF); a unique adult learning environment
which simulates all administrative functions of a real business;
however, the production and transfer of goods is virtual.
Up to 20 participants at any given time work in real departments
of a simulated business, and devote 20% of their time to an
active job search.
Who
is eligible to work for Simpressions?
Unemployed
Individuals who:
- are
job ready (need work experience only)
- are
residents of York Region/Bradford West Gwillimbury
- are
legally entitled to work in Canada
Why
should someone 'work' for Simpressions?
The
PF can provide work experience to participants in the following
areas:
- Accounting
- Administrative
& Clerical
- Communications

- Purchasing

When
does Simpressions
accept participants?
Participants
are ‘hired’ for a maximum of 12 weeks, 35 hours/week. Participants
are selected through a hiring process, on a continuous
intake basis.
