Practice Firms at Job Skills

Job Skills’ Practice Firms Officially Closed.
The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities announced in February 2012 that they would no longer be funding Practice Firms across Ontario. As a result of this decision, Job Skills’ three Practice Firms (PF’s)  closed effective July 31, 2012.

Since 2003, Job Skills’ Three Practice Firms (Simpressions in Markham, Simplicious in Scarborough, and Simfit in Mississauga) assisted over 2,000 clients with 89% of those clients successful in finding employment.

If you were a client at one Job Skills’ PF’s and need further assistance, please contact your existing Employment Advisor or contact the Employment Ontario Service site closest  to your home.

Job Skills would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those community partners who supported the Practice Firm model over the years and referred clients to this unique opportunity for workplace experience.

If you require further information or have additional questions about Practice Firms, please do not hesitate to contact:

Judy Davidson, Director of Newcomer Employment Services and Programs,  at 289-846-3612 or by email jdavidson@jobskills.org
