What is Simpressions?
Simpressions is a Practice Firm (PF); a unique adult learning environment which simulates all administrative functions of a real business; however, the production and transfer of goods is virtual. Up to 20 participants at any given time work in real departments of a simulated business, and devote 20% of their time to an active job search.

Who is eligible to work for Simpressions?
Unemployed Individuals who:

  • are job ready (need work experience only)
  • are residents of York Region/Bradford West Gwillimbury
  • are legally entitled to work in Canada

Why should someone 'work' for Simpressions?
The PF can provide work experience to participants in the following areas:

  • Accounting
  • Administrative & Clerical
  • Communications & Information Technology
  • Purchasing
  • Graphic Arts
  • Marketing/Sales
  • Human Resources

Where is Simpressions located?
80 Micro Court, Suite 100, Markham

When does Simpressions accept participants?
Participants are ‘hired’ for a maximum of 12 weeks, 35 hours/week. Participants are selected through a hiring process, on a continuous intake basis.
