This special Smart Start session will provide women with a safe space to jump start their job search! All participants will learn how to successfully look for and obtain a job and be provided with all the necessary supports both during and after the program. The Smart Start Program will provide you with:

  • Industry Specific Certification and Training
    (such as food handler, customer service, Smart Serve, First Aid, WHMIS)
  • A Customized Action Plan
    (outlining steps to reach your employment goal)
  • A Personal Career Assessment
  • Job Search Techniques
    (resume, cover letters, portfolio development, cold calling, networking and interview skills)
  • Personal Success Skills
