Job Skills and ECS Solutions Inc. Partner on Multi-Employer Hiring Event in Mississauga, with MPP Deepak Anand in Attendance
MISSISSAUGA, ON (May 13, 2026) — Job Skills and ECS Solutions Inc. are teaming up to host a multi-employer hiring event on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, connecting Mississauga jobseekers with employers actively looking to hire. The event will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Job Skills Mississauga location, 1325 Eglinton Avenue East, Unit 213, Mississauga, ON, L4W 4L9.
Mississauga-Malton MPP Deepak Anand will be joining the event between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to meet with jobseekers and employers, and to recognize the work that Job Skills and ECS Solutions Inc. are doing to support jobseekers, employers, and the skilled trades.
Job Skills, a non-profit charitable community-based employment, and training organization has successfully delivered employment solutions since 1988 across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and neighbouring regions. Today, the agency provides employment, employer, business, and newcomer services and programs in the York and Peel Regions, as well as the Greater Toronto Area.
“Events like this are exactly why Job Skills exists. When we bring employers and jobseekers into the same room, real opportunities happen, and lives change,” said Bethany Obermayer, Chief Operating Officer at Job Skills. “Our partnership with ECS Solutions Inc. reflects what’s possible when community-minded businesses step up and look beyond a resume to see a person’s potential. We’re grateful to MPP Anand for joining us and championing the kind of skilled trades opportunities Mississauga families count on.”
ECS Solutions Inc. is bringing a distinctive philosophy to the table. “In 2026, ECS is setting aside time for community engagement by helping individuals that are looking to enter the job market. The purpose of the partnership with the local Job Skills Centre is to host a job fair that will open up doors for individuals who like working in the furniture industry. We have an unconventional hiring approach where we are looking for candidates that show potential rather than focusing on qualifications!”
“Thank you to Job Skills and ECS Solutions Inc. for hosting this multi-employer hiring event in our community,” said Deepak Anand, MPP for Mississauga–Malton. “Events like this help connect jobseekers, students, and young adults with employers who are actively hiring, while opening doors to meaningful careers in the skilled trades and other in-demand industries that are helping build Ontario’s future.”
This hiring event aligns directly with the Ontario government’s push to close the province’s skilled trades gap. Premier Doug Ford has stated that Ontario will need an additional 400,000 skilled trades workers over the next decade to deliver on the province’s $236 billion infrastructure plan, and has committed to “continue to invest in innovative programs that introduce students and young people to the skills they need to land in-demand careers and bigger paycheques.” Job Skills and ECS Solutions Inc. are proud to be doing that work on the ground in Mississauga, connecting jobseekers directly with employers building Ontario’s future.
