The Point, Click, Connect Program is a digital literacy training program targeted to underrepresented groups across York Region, including: Indigenous, low income, seniors, persons with disabilities, and newcomers. Throughout the one week course clients will learn basic computer skills enabling safe internet practices, effectively increasing their self confidence. The Program is supported by a dedicated team of technologically savvy professional trainers and delivered online and at multiple locations in northern and southern York region, including Job Skills, Welcome Centre and community partner locations.
Over a 1-week period, the Program offers:
- Computer Basics, Introduction to Windows
- Basic Communication on Email and Social Media
- Internet: Searching, Sharing, Google Drive
- Internet Safety: Privacy and Security, Online Shopping
- Networking and Job Searching Online
- Microsoft Word and Excel
- Individual Coaching: one-on-one support
- Computer equipment is provided during program

This program is delivered to applicants who fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
- York Region Residents
- Over 16 years of age
- Underrepresented groups: Indigenous, low income, seniors, persons with disabilities, and newcomers
Why?
The Point, Click, Connect Program is a hybrid program delivering basic computer skills training to underrepresented groups in York Region, enabling them to use the internet safely, effectively and increase their self confidence. The Program will serve marginalized individuals with access to the digital world, by providing the basic computer skills necessary to access essential services, increase participation in social and cultural activities and get better jobs.

When?
The program is delivered over a 1-week period. Sessions will run on weekdays, between 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. A schedule is posted on the website.
Where?
The program is a mobile and hybrid (in-person and online) program delivered at various locations throughout northern and southern York Region.
